3. Imray replace North Biscay with new Atlantic France Pilot
'North Biscay' has been renamed Atlantic France to reflect the extended coverage to the Spanish border.
Jeremy Parkinson has revisited the West coast of France and, from his research over the past two years has produced this new renamed edition. Throughout, the harbour plans have been revised and in many case improved. In particular, the coverage of Brest now includes the new Marina du Chateau, large scale plans of the marinas at Lorient have been added and plans are provided of the small harbours in the Gironde.
At the north end the Brittany harbour of L'Aberwrac'h, the key to entering the Chenal du Four, is now included and in the south Arcachon, Capbreton, Bayonne, St Jean de Luz and the Rada de Higuer up to the Spanish border are included.
Many of the photographs are new and at the end of 2009 Patrick Roach was commissioned to produce a new set of aerial photos and amongst these is unique coverage of Brest.
Atlantic France is the authoratitive cruising companion for this long and varied coastline and its publication will be welcomed by both first time visitors and old West coast of France hands.

For 2010 the presentation and registration procedure has been changed.
The digital chart folios are now supplied on USB sticks and instead of purchasing a folio for a calendar year which had disadvantages for those buying the CD late in the season, the registration code provides access to quarterly updates which include any new editions and improvements as well as corrections for a year from the date of registration. The luxury Motor Yacht SAMAR, is still available in the Caribbean this winter and very keen to charter. She will be based in St Thomas during Christmas, New Year and Easter.
m/y SAMAR is the epitome of a luxurious mega yacht. This 77m masterpiece offers a helipad, a large Jacuzzi pool, extensive deck space, a cinema saloon and beautiful ornate accommodation for twelve guests. Inside, there is a fabulous feeling of volume and light coming through the many windows, particularly in the main saloon and dining areas.
Accommodation is provided for twelve guests in seven staterooms over four decks. Chart C42 has been extensively reschemed and rescaled on this edition. Chart coverage, which previously extended from La Gironde to Arcachon, now extends from La Rochelle to the northern Spanish ports of Bilbao and Santander.

This important passage chart links M23 Adriatic Sea with the Imray-Tetra charts for Greece. The first of a new series on Italy.
The next new charts in this series will cover the Ligurian and Tyrrhenian Seas and will be published early in 2010.
